A modern-day invention that has solved one of Man's many problems.




Compass
The earliest-known compass dates from China, during the Han Dynasty (2nd century BC - 2nd century AD). This early compass was made from lodestone, a naturally-magnetic variety of magnetite ore. A spoon-shaped piece of lodestone was placed upon a bronze disk, and the lodestone always pointed north. This early compass was not used for navigation at first; it was used for divination (like Feng Shui), to determine fortuitous placement of buildings, etc.



Compass is known to almost everybody around the world by now. When people around the world come to know how and in what ways to use a compass, it will benefit most people.

For example, we a group of hikers are in the forest, they need a compass to get out of it, or to find their destination as it can tell which direction is the correct one. Compare them to another which only depend on instinct of where to go, the group which has a compass will get to their destination much faster than the one who depends on instincts.

Without compasses, we would not know a lot of things, like the directions. It will definitely better to know the direction around as it can really save our time and energy looking for where we are going to.

Trust compass, to get to your destiniation faster than according to your instinct`

Explain how you would go about solving a common problem that you have encountered in our school using the FILA chart.

From the Facts part, we know that there ARE many teenagers we consume drugs, got into different troubles because of drugs, and some others.

Other than these, we also thought of some ways which could solve the trouble.
By letting teenagers understand more about drugs (the effect of drugs, and the consequences of having drugs), most teenagers would think twice before they agree on 'tasting' the drugs.
When they think twice, they wouldn't think that eating drugs is a good thing for them thus wouldn't want to try them.

For those we already is addicted to drugs, they should be sent for counselling, or even sent to some help, to get over being addicted to drugs.

We agreed on the best part/section of our 400-word report comes from a part under 'how we can apply what we have learnt.'

''We could apply what we have learnt from this project by not being tricked by people outside, to try drugs as we know how to prevent it and the consequences''

This is the main thing on how we could apply what we learnt in our daily lives.
As we wouldn't know who may trick us to get addicted to drugs,
our friends? Strangers? We seriously wouldn't know.
By knowing the consequences,
totally addicted to drugs, the amount of money we could have spend on drugs rather than some things which are more useful, what may happen to us after we got caught, etc,
we will not be easily tricked into having drugs with those we are already addicted.

This is why we think this part is the best of our report..

Some of your experiences working with a non-member of your PW group (e.g. a mutual friend, a sibling, an interviewee, a (school) librarian, a PW teacher etc) on this project. He or she probably did you a personal favour or offered you good advice.

We had experience working with the teachers,
whom helped us throughout the days that we are completing on our work.
Mrs Ganesan gave us some points on how we could improve on our educational materials,
and we worked on with what we're told.

The other one, was a librarian, (should be public library.. Forgot.. Hehs),
who helped us find where the books on drugs were,
when we were looking for the books for the FILA chart.

No matter they helped us in a big way,
or in a small way,
their help are greatly appreciated![:

TEAMWORK!
How?
A team should work together by having the common goal in each of us,
same thinking,
work together so that work is easier,
and we should always voice out our opinions instead of keeping them to ourselves.

Why?
A team should work together, not just because we're told to do so by the teachers. It's because, when a team works as a group, it would be easier for the whole group to get things done faster, and much easier.
For PW, our group should work together, so that we could achieve as much as we could, right NEGATIVE ATTITUDE?(x

We have decided on the question,
"How does being a drug addict harms ourselves, and people around us and what are some causes and effects of being a drug addict?"

HOW?
The 6 of us are basically discussing on a topic, and then suddenly we came up with this.
The whole group agreed, thus we're working on this.

WHY?
Not everybody around the world knows the effects and causes of being a drug addict yourself.
So this is why, we are doing on this, and hopes that this could create an awareness around people, and people could avoid being one as well.

ANSWER?
Being a drug addict, if you didn't take the drug as time goes on, you will feel very terrible, headaches, aches, and vomiting are some of them. If family members saw how terrible the drug addict is, they will too, suffer with the drug addict. As they will definitely feel seriously hurt.
Some of them are forced by friends. While others are because they couldn't they the stress anymore, and thus wanting to find a way of relieving them.
